We’re building the opening team for our client’s new Indian restaurant in Bucharest,Romania and are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie (Indian Cuisine) to join the core kitchen brigade. This is a full-time, long-term role with accommodation and full visa support.

Your Responsibilities
As a Chef de Partie, you will independently manage your section and maintain high standards of taste, hygiene, and speed during service.
Section & Production
-
Take full responsibility for one or more sections:
Tandoor, Grill, Curry, Biryani, or Indian Breads -
Prepare mise en place for your station (marinations, gravies, doughs, spices, toppings)

Execute dishes consistently according to recipes, portion sizes and plating standards

Cook to order during service and maintain speed without compromising quality
Quality, Hygiene & HACCP

Follow HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards at all times

Keep your section clean, organized, and service-ready

Label, date and store all items correctly (FIFO, temperature control)

Monitor food quality, freshness and report any issues to the Sous Chef / Head Chef
Knife Skills & Station Management

Use strong knife skills for cutting, slicing, chopping and trimming

Work clean and fast: minimal wastage, maximum efficiency

Coordinate with other sections to ensure smooth service flow

Support with inventories, stock rotation and daily prep lists
Teamwork & Training

Work closely with Commis and Kitchen Helpers on your section

Help train junior staff on basic Indian preparations and hygiene

Communicate clearly with service and kitchen teams, especially during rush hours
Requirements

Minimum 3+ years experience in professional Indian kitchens (restaurant or hotel)

Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
Tandoor / Grill / Curry / Biryani / Indian Breads -
Strong knife skills and station management ability

Understanding of HACCP fundamentals and kitchen hygiene

English preferred (read / write / speak)

Experience with South Indian dishes is a strong plus

Willing to relocate to Bucharest, Romania, and commit to a long-term contract
